a little fine tuning is necessary.....
So here I am, not having blogged on my "destroy faddy" site for awhile. Here is what I have found:
1) Taking control and doing the healthier thing is not as hard as I thought it would be. I was not visited by evening gremlins saying EAT EAT EAT!...Well there was a little one, but I read him a prayer and he buggered-off.
2) My energy, and determination skyrocketed - at first.
3) Then when I saw I could go 8 days and the scale was still telling me that there was not ANY MEASURABLE CHANGE WHAT-SO-EVER, I started to despair.
4) So the next 8 days will be the SECOND bit of the experiment: I am going to see how stubborn my fat is.... I am going to kick it up a notch. Less calories (not *crazy* reductions, don't worry) and more exercise.
5) That first bit was good. I proved to myself that I could stop grazing at night and stop consuming alcohol any more than 1x per week.
6) Wish me smooth sailing.

Day 8 and Day 9
Pray for each other so that you may be healed.
James 5:16

Day 8 was kind of a bust.
lost to caramelllllllllllllllllllllll
luscious lovely caramel....
(I made a bundt caramel rice krispie cake for my Nephew)
Day 8 also included a glass and a half of white wine as 3 friends came over and I ended up partaking of the bubbly. Oooops dang.
I did exercise though: 20min cardio, 50 crunches, 15 biceps, 12 triceps.
I have lost track of my daily devotional and my attention to encouraging quotes, so I will get this back today as I think it really helps on so many levels:

"Much of our morning routine is spent getting clean - taking a bath or shower, washing our hair, and brushing our teeth. But how much time and attention do we give to cleaning our hearts? Don't forget to ask God to create a clean heart in you today!" Taken from Quiet Moments With God for Mothers by Honor Books.
Day 9 I'm back in the swing of things:
Breakfast: granola bar and coffees
lunch:Tuna salad with tomatoes on pumpernickel
sins:
a peach ring
3 teaspoons of leftover caramelllllllllllllllllllllllll
supper: 2 enchiladas, rice and beans with guacamole and sour cream
We had some good laughs at work today
Well, not THAT good.
But some chuckles never-the-less, and I think that helps everyone function better and in a more positive light.
Anyway, here is a good "yolk" for you! : )
